Hi everyone! Last week I showed you an outfit and sequence for Restorative Yoga by Zalando. So this week I’m showing you a Bikram Yoga outfit and a sequence of exercises as well!
What is Bikram Yoga?
Bikram Yoga consists of 26 different poses and is executed in a hot space of 40 degrees Celsius. Your musles will get flexible and agile because of the heat and it will speed up your metabolism and weight-loss!
This type of Yoga is detoxifying and can only be instructed by a certified teacher.
It’s important to choose an outfit that’s not too warm but that does stay in place while practising the moves. Therefore I chose the following outfit by Zalando:
Sportsbra: Adidas by Stella McCartney HIIT sportsbra in white. (I’m wearing size M)
Top: Free people Dharma Top in black (I’m wearing size S)
Short: Adidas Performance shorts in black (I’m wearing size S)
Yoga mat: Adidas Performance Fitness/yoga in vapor green
Bikram Yoga Sequence
As I said before, Bikram Yoga consists of 26 poses performed in an area up to 40 degrees Celsius. That would have been a lot of pictures so I picked 5 of my favorite moves to show you. The photoshoot took place in the welness area of La Hacienda, it’s 30 degrees in there. By the way, they have a private jaccuzi, sauna, steam room, rainshower, … A must visit!
1.Dandayamana Janusirshasana (standing head-to-knee pose)
2.Dandayamana Bibhaktapada Paschimottanasana (standing seperate-leg stretching pose)
3.Trikonasana (triangle pose)
4.Padangustasana (toe stand pose)
5.Bhujangasana (cobra pose)
6.Dhanurasana (bow pose)
7.Ardha-Matsyendrasana (spine-twisting pose)
